🥳 Dear friends, 🥳

We're getting close to the end of 2025, and we're only just releasing the second Mods Studio 2 update. There's tree main reasons for this:

First, over the summer, we were busy completely reworking our activation system. It was a big job that included making the whole system from scratch on a completely new infrastructure. Now, this new Mods Studio will finally take advantage of it, and you should not have any issues reactivating your licenses. 🤞

Second, nudged by some unforeseen events, we decided it was time to grow up from a hobby project and become a proper company. As you can imagine, we had to handle a lot of paperwork over the last few months. Hopefully, everything is set now and we can continue doing what we like most - making good software. 🚀

And third - at this stage, Mods Studio is a well-rounded software that offers many features and tools. At this point, we are mostly listening to our users input and requests, and we try to gather them into related, themed updates. In practice, this leads to fewer updates, but they cover more of what our users want. 🤩

✨ Now, let's see what's new... ✨

We completely reworked our Cargo Containers mod template to work with the new SCS cargo system. At the same time, we fixed a lot of bugs in our cargo mods, and came up with a new feature - a way to set exclusive cargo to your standalone trailers.

We have also added the option to add color variants to all mask-type skins:

None of this would be possible if we didn't have a small but dedicated team that works tirelessly on Mods Studio projects. I'm very happy that we got a new team member who greatly contributed to this release - Paulo Denis. He single-handedly updated all our containers to be compatible with the new SCS cargo standard.

There's also our old veterans that deserve a shoutout - Mikey, Taede, Lucasi, Emaulligu and Pauly. Without them, not only that this release wouldn't be possible - but our Discord community would not be as welcoming place as it is.

And of course - a big thank you to you - our amazing Patrons! Without your support, we could not continue work on this project. I know it sounds dramatic, but it's a fact. So - Thank You! 🙏

📅 Our plans for 2026 📅

• Mods Studio v.2026.01 will be mostly a tech update with some smaller content additions. We are working on automatic updating for our Patrons, code signing MS2 files and switching over to .NET 10. A new mod template in the works is "Truck Horn" template, and that will be our first ever attempt at sound mods. Regular updates and bug fixes will of course be included.

• A web-based meta game for all trucking enthusiasts is something we've been planning for a while now. Collect achievements, compete with others, work with VTCs, and more! This project will take advantage of our telemetry that we already have for our Stream Deck plugins.

• Our Stream Deck plugins will get an update as well. This includes both SCS and Giants plugins. Bug fixes, optimization and new features for all our plugins.

• 3D Previewer Pro is also getting an update. Better model loading, bug fixes and better image editing!

• More community events - We are going to continue with our regular DLC giveaways, but will also improve on hosting competitions where you can actually win prizes! It's been too long since we did that - and it's time to change that! Our regular last-Saturday monthly streams will continue in 2026 as well!
